CT for Hip Fractures?
Up to 10% of hip fractures can be missed on the initial x-ray. A lot of this has to do with positioning. Sometimes just the x-ray doesn't penetrate well enough. Also due to the osteopenia osteoporosis you know in some of these patients. It's just difficult. If they can't walk acutely something happen. You need your job is to rule it out. What else are you doing here?
