#44 – A Generous Complementarianism

Knowing Faith

CHAPTER

Complementarianism

Complementarians develop a theological position related, not to complementarity, but to the doctrine of god. The argument is that in god we see one essence, father, son and holy spirit. And that the son, in the incarnation, takes upon at human so this gets into trinitarianism and hristology. It denies nicea of the one essence of god because god himself doesn't have two or three wills in order for one to be submissive to the other. So they are breaking up this one sonce of god in order to make their position of complementariy more authoritative.
