The Conodic Theology of the Incarnation
DM Bailey in his book God Was in Christ asks, and I quote, does Christianity then teach that God changed into a man? It is hardly necessary to say that the Christian doctrine of the incarnation means nothing like that. But it's exactly at this point that the conodic theologians question the traditional doctrine. They argue that many of God's most prominent attributes are merely contingent properties of God, not essential properties. And therefore he could give up these properties and still remain God. Yes. That's not been my understanding of what people who hold to the conosis mean by the conosis. My understanding is that they don't believe that Christ gave up those omni attributes of omniscience
