I worry about the future of some face to face creative interactions. We do have somewhat more time, but i think the real gain is we don't need as much time to get to culture. The big gain is just how easy it is to access everything. In some ways, the quality is lower, because there's less live performance,. But the information is denser and you just know about many more things. And i think that's both the present and future of our cultural lives.
There are only a handful of websites that I read religiously. One of those is MarginalRevolution.com, started by my next guest, Tyler Cowen.
