The Fed's Plan to Take a Breath
I'm very hopeful that the Fed has done enough. And I think if they keep hiking, they'll have done more than enough. The recession will end up being deeper and longer than it needs to be. This is a Fed that doesn't like to surprise. So I'd be quite surprised unless the CPI numbers are just absolutely wild. They're not hiking this week. But isn't it kind of silly? Isn't it silly that they're not just basically saying we need to really assess what we've done?"
