The Importance of Safety Standards in Social Media
Dr. Vivek Murthy is the US Surgeon General and author of a new book, "The Shall We Be Leaders?" Sanjay Gupta spoke with Dr. Murthy about how to tackle social media's effects on young people. He says there should be actual safety standards in place that help reduce kids' exposure to harmful content online. And he also wants restrictions on features that seek to manipulate kids who are spending excessive amounts of time on these platforms.
