The Promised Tax Carts - Deliverable or No?
It's a gamble, but it's coming off the back of over a decade of very low growth. She soult of tring to trash that treasury orthodoxy, as she would call it and sould of take a risk. But there'll almost certainly be an election before you see the fruits of that policy coming through. I don't think any one hears that they're going to have a tax cart and upset about it. And this is where i think she's breaking with the thatcher tradition. Because thatcher was, if anything, in favour of sound money. The thing that's rather extraordinary is she wants to be low taxed, but she also want to be high spend.
