Leonard Woolley Identified a Flood Stratosphere in Mesopotamia
The site where leonard woolley was working when he identified the flood stratum was tel el mukaa. Some believe that this is the site of or kasdin, mentioned in the book of genesis, also as the birthplace of abraham. Excavation suggests to us that the site may have been occupied from around three thousand 800 b c. E a time when mesopotamia was moving from the ubed period into the uruck period. Or would have been a city that was humbly growing andde ing throughout the fourth millennium,. The bronze age has arrived at or on the banks of the euphrates river near the persian gulf.
