Is Nostrodamas a Hypnotist?

Do you think nostrodamas was sincere, or just a hoaxer who pretended to have predictive powers even though he knew he didn't? I think there's evidence that points both ways. He devoted a lot of effort to this, and his self professed love of the stars and watching them at night seems to be genuine. There's evidence that he was using the practice of bibliomancy, but refused to tell anybody about it. So i think that the evidence points to nostro damas being what you would call a mixed psychic - someone who thinks he does have the ability to predict the future, but also stretches the truth at times.
