Neuromodulation - A New Way of Thinking About the Neocortex
The way to think about the neocortex is it learns a model of the world where things are and what they look like. And we focus on how that model is learned through movement, like when we move our body. So there's some sort of internal structure in the neocortex which represents the structure of the world. We can imagine what things will happen when we activate it.
