The Role of Jury Sequestration in the OJ Simpson Trial
Jury sequestration is when a jury isn't allowed to see or talk to pretty much anybody else other than their fellow jurors during the course of a trial. Professor Trocovardi says a recent example of this is when former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin went on trial for the murder of George Floyd. Juries have played a really important role in American history that I think of juries as like the last chance to do the right thing in a legal system that might be on the wrong path.
