The Battle of the Winter Palace
The Winter Palace in Petrograd was the former official residence of Russia's Tsar. The palace became a target for Vladimir Lenin's Bolshevik revolutionaries. American journalist Louise Bryant spoke to young officers known as Yunkas, defending it from the Bolsheviks. She says: 'I shall never forget those poor, uncomfortable, unhappy boys'
