Why Don't You Read 14 to 17?

In verse 10, Joshua said, here is how you shall know that the living God is among you by this, you know, miracle in the river. That's the same language used throughout the Exodus that the Lord is going to deliver his people through these miraculous acts so that they would come to know the Lord. So why don't we read?
