How to Make a Voluntary Contribution to Your Super
In Australia, there's only two ways that salaried employees can reduce their taxes. One is super and the other is negative gearing. If you put in some additional money into superannuation before the end of the financial year, you get to claim that amount as a tax deduction on your tax return. You'll receive 34.5% refunded to you from the tax office, which is the equivalent of almost $700. Anybody can contribute to superannuation so long as they're paying taxes.
