We've gotten so over reliant on one type of consciousness that we want to cultivate the other, he says. Left brain symbolic thinking has come to dominate our global society and there is a massive in balance between those two ways of cognition within each of us individually. We're disintegrating our world the way it is right now through our dominant culture. And we can re balance that, not by rejecting technology, but using those towards integration - making something whole even while it's differentiated.
