The Origins of Agriculture in East Asia
The emergence of agriculture in East Asia was different than it was in the Fertile Crescent. It came into being and spread through different mechanisms. Not everybody adopted this suite of adaptations and they didn't have to. The oldest solid evidence of hominins in China goes back to at least 1.66 million years ago. We can tell that there was no single global path from foraging and collecting to farming.
