The Zola Weed

The Azola weed has been growing on the banks of Joomi for a month and a half. In Japan, in the Far East, it is used as livestock feed by cattle and ducks. The Zola folliculoid leaves are filled with cyanobacteria that capture sunlight. It looks almost plastic-y here but they have cavities where bacteria live.
