The Impossible Enrique
Enrique's rule began promisingly enough. Because he didn't yet have an heir, and because of the execution of Olivero de Luna, he had huge landed estates in his possession. Enrique pardoned many of those imprisoned or exiled during his father's reign. He picked promising lower nobles and raised them up the ranks with grants of women.
