I think there is a danger of legislating in anger and legislating out of spite. There needs to be some understanding of the underlying processes and mechanisms that have resulted in companies having the shape and form they currently do. And i'll pick up on one point that you described, which was data portability. Data portabilitys is really powerful. It's what has opened up the mobile phone market in many countries,. But it's also a bit of a headache for an end user because you move your data and you lose your network. More powerful would be the idea of inter operability between different companies and products.
