The Similarity Between Cooking and Broadcasting

I'm not a chef, but I have been around the restaurant industry long enough to know that it's really similar in lots of ways to the broadcasting industry. Producing a live daily broadcast with lots of moving parts is very similar to cooking a service. It's usually not as hot or as messy or as dangerous, but the tension level is about as high. Live broadcasting is also similar to cooking in the sense that it feels Sisyphian. You're constantly feeding a beast that can never be satisfied.
