The Law Imprisoned Everything

The law was our guardian until Christ came in order that we might be justified by faith. The word for guardian there, of course, is like schoolmaster or tutor. This was a word that would have been very familiar to a Roman Empire audience. But it was never meant to lead someone to salvation. That was coming through Christ alone.
