The Myriad Delivery Systems for Carbidopa LevodopA

Cinnamet is a combination product containing levodopa for dopamine replacement and carbidopa, a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor that reduces breakdown of levodopa in the periphery. Longer acting formulations of cinnamet are also available for patients to help with wearing off. Next time we'll review some more advanced formulation.
