The joy of playing a new zelda game is just getting to hear one of those classic pieces of music re imagined. A lot of eldegames like to do that subtle re packaging, where you hear an echo and you're not totally sure what you heard. It's always fun to keep an ear out for them, to hear how maybe they're changed from game to game or re interpreted.
Few video game series have a musical tradition as rich as The Legend of Zelda.
From Zelda's Lullabye to Epona's Song to the Great Fairy Fountain and Dragon Roost Island, Kirk unravels some of his favorite Zelda music and explores how Nintendo's composers keep weaving them back together into beautiful new patterns.
