We're a Wealthy Enough Society to End Street Homelessness
Vancouver council voted unanimously in favor of a project to house the city's homeless, half drug users, half non-drug users. It is at the end of the broadway corridor subway station and walking distance from the v g h health campus. The move comes as an active shooter killed four unhoused british columbians on Monday morning. And so it's an objective good to get these people housed, but it is a very frauht political, inpolicy trade off if you ask this neighborhood to accept new neighbors who they have fears will be bad neighbors.
