Alison's explanation for how she ended up on the road was that she was lifted there by an angel. The other explanation would be that despite her incredibly brutal injuries, Alison was able to shuffle her way slowly back the way she'd been taken. After laying there for quite some time, a pair of headlights began to get closer from the distance. Not knowing whether it was her attackers or a potential savior, Alison could do nothing but wait. But in the end, it was neither. A car slowed down next to Alison, but it didn't stop. It just left her there on the road, just like Mary Vincent.
