The neural net that beat the best go player in the world wasn't designed to play go it wasn't. It was like designed as a general learning thing so it just basically you apply it to any game i think it played dota which is a video game also but you just make it play over and over and over again. Because it's a computer it can play like a million games per hour or whatever it is and then it begins to recognize patterns that people could never play.
