Migrants have been polling resources and sending these resources in order to find larger projects at the community level, which is extremely important. These projects include a multitude of things, from schools, from health services, as well as investments in local businesses. So there is a multitude of different kinds of investment that they have doing that have these good nature. Theyre helping the whole community, irrespective of whether they have people living abroad or not. And these ties a migrants retain with the communities an their counties of origin that they want to make a change. This change goes beyond the change in the local economy of their communities, but also, as we show in the book, with very important political ramifications as
