Shiori Ino was stabbed to death by Yoshifumi Kubota, an ex-manager of a massage parlors. The Saitama Prefecture police were heavily criticized in the Japanese media for their apparent dereliction of duty. Kiyoshi Shimizu began digging for the facts and discovered that Shiori wasn't the only girl Katsuhito had lied to regarding his age and occupation. He then tracked him down personally before forwarding his location to the police. His body was found on January 27th of the year 2000, floating in a lake near the town of Ateshikaga.
