The New Testament and the Sexual Abuse Against Women

The sexual abuse and violence toward women is not treated like some that should eliminate you from being considered righteous and true, like follower and lover of god. The fact that those things can coexist in the bible doesn't seem excusable to me. And so then why are we surprised that they're still happening? i think a more, just a staggering verse that i came across a couple of years ago is one of those that i was like, wheat, has this always been here? I don't know if you're going to hold every word of scripture in infallibility but maybe it's time to change our ways.
