Bodhisattva is a compound Sanskrit word Bodhi means liberated or awakened and Sattva means being. There are all kinds of Bodhisattva vows that people take in various traditions Buddhist traditions sentient beings are numberless I vow to bring awakening to them all That's a kind of tough one you know if you start with the people near you I'm going to help liberate the ones in my family isn't it?
