Is There a Chance That Friendship Happens Organically?
The assumption that friendship happens organically is kind of outdated if you're an adult. A study looked at how these beliefs affect outcomes and it found that people that thought friendship happened based on luck were more lonely over time whereas those that saw it as taking effort were less lonely over time. And then I coach a lot of women who feel like they have a lot of trouble like making friendships as an adult but I do think it's a combination of things obviously there's like probably anxious attachment rejection stuff so they're like, free to do that in the first place.
