Is There a Ring Around One Eye and the Other Isn't?
There was a ring of garnets around one eye, but not the other. Archaeologist thought there was a reference to Odin who famously had one eye. But then they found out that in dim lighting it would look like the person wearing the helmet had just one eye. They were by tying him to this one I got. That's going to make a really cool scene in somebody's fantasy story.
