Apache Sordona: A Database Management System
When we talk about databases, what are you talking about? This is also a great question. A database like a post GIS, which is, again, an extension to Postgres, is a database management system. The data is stored in a database, in a bunch of tables, and it's persisted somewhere on disk. That's the typical notion of a database. Apache Sordona is not a database.
