Introduction
Liz Truss, the darling of conservative rights has resigned as home secretary. The technical reason for the resignation is around a breach of the rules on a security matter. Earlier today I sent an official document for my personal email to a trusted parliamentary colleague with the aim of garnering support for government policy on migration. This constitutes a technical infringement of the rules. It's just been tweeted out by Sweller Braverman. Her letter to Liz Truss explaining why she's resigned. She was talking to her home secretary about her resignation. And so obviously everyone's eyebrows raise into their foreheads and start to wonder what's happening.
