"I think to be completely transparent with you, it's one thing to take it down. I think I just should have been told before," he says of his decision not to appear on the show. "The saddest part for me wasn't the fallout of like the loss of speaking gigs or the first book deal ... It was that I got an opportunity after your show." He adds: "To get the opportunity to go sit with someone like Lex Friedman was a big, big fucking deal"
