Jim Jones is the Elvis of Cold Leaders. Father Devine was doing this since the 20s and he figured out a long time ago how to manipulate a group of people into doing things that they didn't wanna do. He had successfully convinced his followers that he was God on earth and he had his pick of female followers. When she died in 1942, Father Devine replaced her with a 21 year old Canadian named Edna Richings saying that his wife had jumped bodies from an elderly black woman to a supple young white one. Travis: I'm just happy to be someplace that's not backwards ass Canada.
