The congress party's vision was peaciclly on the principles of democracy, diversity and development. The socialist wing basically moved out of the congress party pre independence in the 19 thirties and 19 forties. And then slowly the right wing factions, with patel and tundon and rajago palac moving out. Basically the centrest faction within the congress party remained. So idological position of political party is not compromised, but a consensus or medium position of different factions.
