Is That Just Another Word for Inflation?

Most people associate dark energy with you, not the universe itself. It's confusing also, because we know that there are multiple periods of expansion in our history of the universe. And so it's fair to try to lump these periods of expansion together and say, like olt, maybe dark energy, of just inflation,. That makes a lot of sense. We don't know if those are connected.
