If we're talking about a bodybuilder, so the goal is energy expenditure rather than endurance training adaptations, then I would favor low intensity because it's easier to manage. High intensity work can really take its toll on other workouts and I typically favor relatively high frequency training. So like 48 hours is often valuable possible in many of my clients.
