Rice is one of the most commonly grown crops with India accounting for a substantial global rice production. Prices are already hovering at decade highs in part due to tighter supplies when the stable became an attractive alternative as prices of other major grains surged following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. But what does all this mean for exporters and the ecosystem as policy keeps going back and forth with hike in duties to bans? I turn to Winot-Kol, executive director of the All India Rice Exporters Association to get insights on the impact of the man.
