The Story of Swift Runner

Swift runner was a native american man from the cree tribe that lived in the western portion of canada. According to reports, swift runner stumbled into a catholic mission in saint albert some time in the spring of 18 79. He told the priests there that the winter had been harsh and that his entire family had starved to death. His trial began on august eighth of 18 79, and it was about as cut and dried as could be. Both the judge and jury refused to accept the story of the wendigo. They saw the man as a murderer and sentenced him to be hanged.
