Three of us decided we were working in the London office of Baine and Company. We thought, well, perhaps we could do this on our own. And that was my first really big break. All I've done is to look for start businesses. And usually it works. Sometimes it's wrong because it's not actually a start business. But if you end up with a start business and you understand the segmentation,. which is a little bit complex sometimes, the way the boundaries between competitors operate, then you're away to the races.
