Immigration - What Is the Solution?
Sir David Normington is a former Permanent Secretary of the Home Office. During his time he would have seen many a crisis in our system. He says there's a particular problem in stopping people getting into boats and crossing the channel. The French are absolutely key to this because a lot of work has to be done on the other side of the channel. And if you don't do that, you get the problems we're seeing now with backlogs growing.
