Why People Hate Politicians and Our Political System So Much
Politicians often end up doing favors for all the people they like and blocking the people they don't like in their own party. It's unfortunate that that's one of the consequences of the democratic form of government where you need a majority of votes to change or create any legislation. And therefore deals will always be being done within your own party and across parties, particularly in the case of either a minority government or where you have a hostile Senate.
