Babyn: There's an asiatic aspect to the sort of seemingly neutral reporting on how good asia was. But there 's also this kind of almost l kind of, old school, said, orientalist invocation of this hoary, you know, confucian tradition that seemed to me to be of the other type. So i reao kind of present even in that, for sure. It's a mixture like, ah, i'd say, basically, people in the u.S. Would say, we can't do it like they can, because we can't possibly expect it to curb the freedoms of our people.
