Introduction
December 7th, 1987. Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 1771 departs LAX at 331 PM and was scheduled to arrive at San Francisco at 443 PM. The first 28 minutes of the cockpit voice recorder indicate a routine flight. Just after the captain requested a change in altitude due to turbulence, the cockpit recorders recorded 3-4 gunshots.
