The Authorship of Shakespeare

Controversy about the authorship of Shakespeare is evergreen. Strathordians believe he wrote the works attributed to him and collaborated with other writers too. Oxfordians believe that a man named Edward de Vera, the Earl of Oxford, was the true Shakespeare. The Marlovian camp believed that fellow playwright Christopher Marlow is the true author. Yet another is Mary Sidney, a Countess who supposedly used a male pen name because she couldn't produce plays as a woman. There is still no definitive answer to the controversy, and probably never will be.
