Venice - A Merchant of Venice
Venice does seem to be the place for shakespeare where isan attempt to be very cosmopolitan. And yes, a merchant of venice, they are jews, they are christians, they living in the same city andgetting along,. ok, i guess. But then the limits of sort of cosmopolitanism, perhapsShakespeare, yesotto, it is interesting that sh Shakespeare wrote two plays about venice. A he understood it was the mot modern community in europe, that it seemed to be pointing to the future.
