The moon has a cycle too, but the cycle is 18.61 years. There's a small period of time every 18. 61 years when the moon actually rises and sets beyond the limits of the sun,. It's called the major lunar standstill. Pueblo people typically do their rock art right to left, almost like Hebrew and Arabic. So you have your waxing crescent, you got his full moon which is the circle in the middle on this picture. And then there are 13 moons that occur at the beginning of each13th year because solar cycle is 11 days shorter than lunar cycle. This pendant was found over chimney rock in southwestern Colorado.
