How Res Dogs Cares About Characters

I just found myself talking about your show constantly over the last few weeks. The thing that I can't get over and I feel like I probably said some version of this to you last year as well which is just how deeply you and your creative team care about these characters. How does that keep you from being overly protective of them because you love them but are still willing to give them dramatic stakes in situations and put them in peril right?
